About ZADHR

The Zimbabwe Association of Doctors for Human Rights (ZADHR) is a membership based health professionals organization whose vision is the enjoyment of the highest attainable standard of physical and mental health in Zimbabwe.

To this end, ZADHR implements the following programs to achieve this:

  • Health and Human Rights Education Program
  • Health Policy and Health Systems Program
  • Health and Human Rights for Vulnerable Groups Program
  • Campaign Against Torture
  • Right to Health Accountability Program

Our Programs

In abid to realise the attainement of the Right to Health by all Zimbabweans, ZADHR implements  anumber of programs, including these 3:

This is in a response to the increase in organisation violence and torture on various civialians in Zimbabwe and the failure by other medical associations in Zimbabwe to come up with an appropriate response.

The chief goal of this program is to build accountability and transparency in the progression of the right to health in Zimbabwe.

HEALTH POLICY AND HEALTH SYSTEMS

The programme is aimed at engaging lawmakers i.e. parliamentarians and senators on issues to do with policy in the health sector through the Parliamentary Portfolio Committee on Health
